CITRUS MEDICA AND LEMON

In Sicily we stayed in an Agriturismo that cultivates lemon, oranges, mandarines, grapefruits and cedro (critus medica). It has its origin in Asia and it's bigger then a normal lemon, as you can see from the picture. Here we have a normal lemon, a normal cedro and a huge one.

In Sicily they use them to make sallad. The white inside is very sweet and tastes wonderful with a little bit of olive oil and salt.
