MY JOB HAS CONTRASTS!

and I love it! One day you photograph the cutest children ever, another you take care of loving couples on their wedding day, then again you can have a cat hiding among the stuff in the studio before getting actually one single good shot and then you have J. a 56 year old man that wants to have some fine art nude.

It was like painting with the camera. It was like I was pulled back in time and then those pictures were born.

CHILDREN ARE JUST ...

....so wonderful .   A harmless friendship kiss between Alvin and Alva.
This pictures reminds a little bit the 80-ies when I was "younger" and collected posters from Sarah Kay.

FIRST STEPS

This is an example how you can hang on the wall pictures taken in the studio. I photographed little Ivar holding his parents hands from both side. We ordered a special PP (passe-partout) in black and put it together in a lovely frame. Two pictures in one frame! Isn't that just wonderful?

ROCKABILLYBABY

Last year I went to a rockabilly party to take picture of a Rockabilly band. It was a rainy day but people were out sellingt things, from clothes to car parts, music and anything that would fit any rockabilly fan.

On my curious walk through mud and stands I met Therése Persson, owner of the company Rockabillybaby!

She makes lovely dresses for children. You just have to look at her webpage!

STONE TOWN AND ITS DOORS

Stone Town is well known for having a great amount of old doors in different styles. The indian ones with the spikes on it to prevent the elefants that never existed on Zanzibar to enter the houses. I hardly actually can see where an elefant could find place in the narrows streets. And then we have the Oman, arabic styled doorrs in wood as well.  All of them well decorated and very very old.
It's a pleasure to stroll around the town and take pictures of them.

A shop that sells children dresses.

This last dorr is actually taken outside Stone Town in a village in the countryside.

ONCE THERE WAS A DOG....

...his name was Shaggy and he lived at the hotel Sun & Seaview in Zanzibar.
He was a little cute lazy dog that loved to hide in the shadow and enjoy now and then a pet from the hotel guests. One morning very early when the sun was rising, Shaggy went for a walk with us and he enjoy running after.

The last day of our stay at the hotel a little monkey occupied the palmtrees above. Shaggy was then very well on alert all the time.

And then we left..... and we will remember Shaggy for being a great companion during our stay!
