ETNA

Here you can see Silvestri Craters at 1986 meters altitude.

There are not a lot of words to talk about it....coz. you have to be there, to feel it, to admire it, to be part of it.

Facts about the Etna Vulcan you can find everywhere in the internet. But to be able to stay there knowing that this vulcano is still active, is an amazing thought. You can fantisize about when will it erupt again, will I be lucky and see this natural show? It can happen. It is one of the most fantastic things I have ever seen a few years ago.

This year, the snow was still covering the soot, the rocks the lava. It was a sunday. Never go up on a sunday. I thought the half of Sicily was there, playing on the snow.

The parking is full of buses and sicilian on their sunday trip.

All those little colored points are in fact people.

SPRINGTIME IN SICILY

Hi to everybody,

sorry for not having updated my blogg but I was away a week in Sicily, where Spring showed his best side. 7 days of 20-25 degrees, sunshine and a cozy wind. Wonderful food as usually.

I will put more pictures and little reportage text tomorrow, but I would like to start with a picture taken in the garden of our Agriturismo in San Leonardello. The trees full of kumquats, lemons and the first flower in the foreground. In the back you can see the snowcoated Etna with some clouds.

It was a magic morning!
